The National BIM Standard defines BIM as: “a digital representation of physical and functional characteristics of a facility. A BIM is a shared knowledge resource for information about a facility forming a reliable basis for decisions during its life-cycle; defined as existing from earliest conception to demolition.”

 

Simply put, BIM software, much like Tekla Structures we utilise at Scarboro Steel Works, provides AEC experts the necessary toolset to plan, design, construct, and manage buildings and infrastructure through a robust 3D modeling software.

As mentioned, Scarboro Steel Works have proudly incorporated Tekla Structures into our work process. In fact, we were one of the earliest adopters of this BIM software in Canada. Why did we decide this?
